I love love love being a lesbian.

I love love love being a lesbian. I love having a girlfriend that I can love aggressively and proudly. I love doing gay shit with gay people and consuming gay media. Just being around other sapphics is so special because where I live, it feels like you never see others in the wild and it can be challenging to find sapphic spaces.

When I was younger, I tried really hard to “look gay”. And it worked! I was able to talk to more lesbians and be seen as one in school, not have to come out constantly. For that I’m grateful. But I always felt that if I dressed a certain way, that I should also act a certain way.

It’s not sustainable and limits your personality to your fashion choices.

From 15–17 I had a masc phase because I was under the impression that to be perceived as a lesbian, I had to be a masculine one. Thankfully, as I grew up, I outgrew that mindset and was able to enjoy my feminine energy again.

It was a simple moment of realizing I can be femme and lesbian, and it doesn’t take away from my lesbianism at all. Re-framing how I see my femininity allowed me to play with it again.

And with that came freedom to dress totally however I want because FREEDOM OF WILL.

That being said, I still like looking gay. Honestly, if someone thinks I’m straight, it hurts a little lol. I do want to be perceived as a lesbian by other lesbians. That’s why I love clothing with gay references and themes <3

I adore representing my community and making statements with my fashion. Being excited to wear pieces that align with you and your interests is a very sweet joy in life. We hope some of these pieces can give you all that same feeling.

Much more to come <3
